Stachyurus himalaicus

Well, that is what the label said so I guess I believe it.  These tiny little flowers are trying hard to bloom at RHS  Rosemoor where I went for a short stroll this afternoon with blipper Terrifo.  The hellebores were in full flow and I was astounded at how many different ones there appear to be. Such delightful flowers. Some rhododendrons have a few flowers on show, but most plants are still just thinking about the cold and sensibly staying put, with tight buds!
Max had his spring haircut today - I'm guessing he is going to feel a tad chilly for the next few days, especially when we go walkies in the cold winds that are blowing.
