“We survived!”

…cried the crocuses, as they emerged from the melting snow in the garden this morning. They’re looking a bit worse the wear for their ordeal, but hopefully they’ll soon bounce back.

Temperatures reached the dizzying heights of 5 degrees today, and the snow has now all but disappeared. But without yesterday’s sunshine, and with a cold wind blowing, it still felt bitter as I walked back from the library this morning. A very busy day working my way through a mountain of jobs that I need to get through before I head east on Friday, so just a quick blip from the garden today.
