A familiar Scene
The colours on the horizon appeared well before dawn this morning when there were still a few bright stars in the sky overhead. The cold northerly breeze rippled the surface of the estuary and broke up the colourful dawn reflections I like so much.
This was the only spot where there was some calm and will be familiar to many. Nearer the sea there were things of interest to add to the sunrise, but none could be captured against the desired background. A fishing boat crossed the Bay, although it was too far away for a good shot in the light. Several seals raced over the mouth of the river coming almost clean out of the water at times - again not a decent shot. I had high hopes when 2 swans swam into the river and nearer a shot. However, like the boat and seals its wasn't to be and they about turned and headed back across the Bay.
So I have to fall back on the familiar scene!
