Efterklang

How happy was I when I discovered that John Grant was the support for Efterklang. His Queen of Denmark album was in my ten most played last year. So after the usual chaos rush about that involved getting girls from after school club, child minder, give them their dinner, fix a puncture, get Anna to dancing, get the other two bathed, pick up from dancing etc etc. I finally sat down to enjoy this great singer song writer.

After a brief interval on came Northern Symphonia and they started the first track on the Efterklang album Pyrimida. Then the band came on. In short, the gig was brilliant. The drummer was Budgie of Banshees fame.He was brilliant, as a lot of the rhythms are not your standard rock output.
This was one of the smiliest gigs I have been to in a long time.
A wee taster

After a very fine gig, a very fine evening was polished off with a couple of pints with some old friends.
