Back in Dubai

I’ve escaped the compound, jumped on a plane and arrived in Dubai to surprise my sister Sherry, aka Gadgetkid on Blip, for her special (50th) birthday :).

Got off the plane, took a taxi to the location that I had been informed she would be at. My partner in crime, Eileen (aka Rachel Why Not on Blip) kept me abreast of Sherry’s whereabouts, as she too is here for Sherry’s celebrations.

So I arrived at the 52nd floor at The Observatory (hence these great views of Dubai Marina), and walked up to the table behind the maitre d’ and shocked Sherry and Geraldine. It was quite a surprise. She was not expecting me at all, as I convinced her I just wasn’t able to come. Really pleased the surprise went so well. Eileen and her friend were there too and we all had a lovely reunion and lunch, with amazing views of The Palm and Dubai Marina.

We had a very busy day following lunch. Sherry and Geraldine were very good tour guides and took us to some new places in Dubai.

I’m exhausted after a full day and looking forward to sleep tonight!

So pleased Sherry (and Geraldine) was surprised :).
