tempus fugit

Diamanté

I never expected to see this. Bright sunshine lured me out to the coast despite the bitter chill and, where a stream tumbles almost vertically seaward through grass and briars, the vegetation on either side was sheathed in clear ice. A fringe of crystalline stalactites and stalagmites had been formed by blown water spray, fat lollipop fingers and brittle spires  of ice flashed in the sunlight and below I could hear the tinkle of falling shards as the wind whistled through the glitter.

The extra shows a longer shot and another blobbier frond.
