Early

Today I got up almost as soon as it was light to take pix in the snow.  This is the lane down to the sea.  I loved the way the snow had stuck to the tree trunk and branches, making it look somehow like a Japanese print.  I was out for a couple of hours and much in need of breakfast when I got back.

Lunch again at The Smugglers (see Extra) and in the afternoon we rather unexpectedly got the car out and bought another bag of wood from a petrol station.  Unfortunately, when we got it home and out of it's bag we found it so wet the fire coughed and died :(  Also, halfway through the evening the whole valley had a blackout.  Power was restored around 10.30pm, but for some reason only the overhead lights.  Why??
