Ealing comedy

The relentless pace of my holiday in Seville continued on my return to the UK. Four or so hours after touching down at Luton airport I was in the audience at a night of stand-up in Ealing.

It was a great show, with Hal Cruttenden, Patrick Monahan and Shappi Khorsandi doing the comedy turns in aid of the Labour Party.

Cruttenden, who has been on Mock the Week, HIGNFY etc, was my favourite. His was 100 per cent my kind of humour and I had tears rolling down my face.

Nothing like purging the stresses and strains of life with a night of laughter.
