Snow right!

A journey that took us nearly an hour from Gare d’Austerlitz to the Porte de Versailles in Paris on Friday evening took a mere 15 minutes on the return at 6.15am today, even after a heavy snowfall overnight! We arrived at the station so early the buffet wasn’t even open. Somehow we managed to get in a side door with this behatted couple while others queued outside the locked door on the quai. When finally they were let in, the waiter ran around all the tables collecting breakfast orders without taking a single note - more than a dozen of them, I’d say. Within minutes he was delivering accurate orders all round. If it had been Starbucks we’d still have been queuing half an hour later!
