Fall Awakening

Not to be confused with Spring Awakening.
This red wasp was visiting my dying garden today due to the beautiful, warm weather. He was eating from a silver lace vine that luckily is still in bloom. I've always been afraid of bees and wasps so I'm not really sure what it is. I can't tell if he looks gentle or not in this picture.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my swan from yesterday. It warmed my heart!
