Prefterklang

Great gig at the Usher Hall tonight. Efterklang and Northern Sinfonia performing one of The Piramida Concerts (basically Efterklang doing their latest album with an orchestra and with a band featuring Peter Broderick and punk legend Budgie on drums - his smile all the way through was nearly as wide as Marc Almond's at the gig I went to the other week, these are men that enjoying themselves these days!)

And the 'special guest' ie the support act, was American singer-songwriter John Grant who I was aware of previously, but had never actually heard. His piano-playing and singing was just tremendous so it's him that I'm going to link to. Pick of the songs from tonight was this one and it's actually a lot more powerful live than on record so if you ever get the chance...
