BIRD FLIGHT
My target today was "bird Flight " and I didnt mind what species - this onw made the cut. I waited around a flock (about 20) of spoonbill down by the Brighton Bridge to take off but they werent playing ball, so moved on to this Southern Black-backed Gull further down the Estuary. Its with a picture like this one I appreciate the difficulty it is for a bird to launch itself into the air - tremendous thrust required.
