Heron

With the valley in the grip of ice, there were a posse of Snipe in the swampy patch by the cricket pitch and some desperate-looking Moorhen forlornly prospecting the frozen pond.  The Heron looked comfortable enough and the ice nicely mirrors his grey plumes.
