The return of Winter

This weekend we had friends to stay and had a lovely time centred around eating out and swapping notes on our two very different holidays that we each took in January.  While we cruised around the Indonesian Islands, our friends had an adventure of a very different kind; a visit to Antarctica which looked truly spectacular.  It's time for Mr MC and I to take a cold weather holiday I think!
To give us some practice,  the cold weather returned here with a vengeance this weekend and brought quite a bit of snow with it.  Last night we had a very cold but enjoyable snowy walk to and from our local Indian restaurant.  Today we had lunch in High Beach at the King's Oak and took a short walk in the forest afterwards to work off some of the calories.  My blip is of one of the little ponds seen on our walk, looking decidedly wintry.
