Feeding farms and feeding deer. First cow started calving just before dark so we brought her in. After a wait to let her get on with it husband decided to see what was going on. Calf was breach and unfortunately dead when we got it out. Left her in shed overnight and this morning found second calf lying dead. So twins it was. Kicking ourselves for not checking but the first calf was big and twins were rare. A real shame that has depleted our energies. The cow, Hermione is fine, a bit sore and sad but eating and perky considering her ordeal.
