The funny side

You have to see the funny side of snow, even if it is a miserable event. We had more snow overnight, about an inch, and it clung resolutely to the top of this glass ornament stuck in a flower pot outside the back door. It has stayed like this all day, even though there is a very slow thaw.
I baked a small ham joint for our lunch and used a fiddly recipe using dried apricots, onions, bay leaves, garlic, whole grain mustard and cider. It sounds good, but in all honesty it didn't taste very special. I won't go to all that bother next time!
