Three Islands and a Wave

3.8C cloudier, but still bright and very cold. Wind ENE/E to 29 mph with gusts to 41 mph.

Grocery shopping.

Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. We saw no seals on the rocks at Kiel, but as we arrived at the car park for Carskey Bay we saw  a few Gannets soaring over the sea. Our first sighting of the year.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and back. It was rather odd to see the waves coming into the bay from almost the opposite direction to those generated by the prevailing wind. Fergus was on his lead and whined and hooted all the way along the beach, only quietening when we came back along the path at the back of the beach and he had lots of places to pee!

In the photo Ailsa Craig, Sheep island, and Sanda island.

Extra: Another Windows Wanderland window was photographed on the last walk of the evening and I have uploaded an extra ... a drunken woolly Minion !
