A lovely curve

I stopped at Grant Park beach after church this morning, planning on taking some Lake pictures, but I spotted a whole patch of these--I'm not sure if this is a weed, but it always reminds me of the great expanses of wheat that grew in the fields on both sides of our house when I was growing up. I loved the graceful curve of it, as well as the spiky swirls coming off of it.
 Such a beautiful day with the sun out and it's already a very mild 54 degrees (F) (12.2 degrees C), so Tom and I may go for a slow stroll! Enjoy your Sunday! :))
