High tide, Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey.

A splendid autumn day, bright and still. I managed to get plenty of work done at The Patch, cutting back and tidying up the mass of brambles, gorse and so forth that had grown out of control over the summer. After spending 5 hours in a ditch battling with the foliage that was growing at head height (not to mention disturbing a nest of angry wasps), I was absolutely exhausted........really exhausted.

We went to The Ship at Red Wharf Bay for tea.

In summer the bay gets packed, but out of season, with the place almost deserted, it is easy to see how beautiful it is.
