Herring gulls
Sitting on stones only revealed at the lowest tides. Can’t say I love them. There are too many here and their aggressive/protective behaviour in the summer when the chicks are fledging can be scary. But they are as protected as golden and sea eagles so we have to live alongside them. And they did give me a Blip today.
In other news it should have been the Alloa Half Marathon today and we should have been cheering on our first born on his first formal run of this length. But at about 10:00 pm last night the organisers decided it had to be postponed. Such a shame but given the current minibeast weather it was probably the right call. The organisers had to think about the marshals and other volunteers as well as the runners. It is just so cold with frequent snow showers. Meant to be better tomorrow and if it is I’ll be very pleased. Also hoping to bring you slightly more inspiring blips for a day or two.
