kicking back

very crazy day today. we had a 'messy' photo shoot, item of choice paint!! when we got there they had set up a little station for the kids to do hand prints, a tray of paints, brushes and paper. erin was well away. it was then our then for the photos. so i sat both babies on the large plastic sheeting and she handed erin the squeezing bottle of edible paint (flour, water and food colouring) it was no where near as bright and fun as the paints she had just used, so erin being erin was not having any of it. madam got her way and we ended up using the tray of paints and brushes in all colours.
it took her a little time ot get warmed up, well to be fair how confused would a two year old be when we are constantly telling her not to get dirty and dont do that and then we say go crazy. within 10 minutes or so she was covered, i kept popping caleb in and out of the shot and he was just as covered as her, until she decided to paint him. poor lad.
i had to view and choose the pictures there and then and they were amazing, i wanted them all. so chose the 8 from the packaged and brought a few more extra ones. should get them in the next 3 weeks. cant wait! it is one activity that i wont be doing at home, ever!

the rest of the afternoon was a nice chilled one, pic is of little man just kicking back with his legs free, his favourite way.
