Catching up
The usual Saturday events were added to with things that had been out on hold during the week; emails; correspondence, washing and so on. Piles of Board papers (300+ pages to read); talks to prepare and papers to write.
On top of that there was the final day of the 6 Nations. I had to listen to the Scotland-Italy match on the radio as I drove around. When I called into my aunt’s neighbours to thank them for continuing to look after her cat etc the outcome looked gloomy. When I emerged, victory had been snatched.
The Irish half of my genes were delighted at the Grand Slam winners and I managed to watch the last 15 minutes of Wales - France.
In the morning I also called into the building site, otherwise known as home. Got the printer working again and saw this amaryllis in front of the TV screen.
