Dolly and the lighthouse

My mum and I went up to Fraserburgh to the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, neither of us had been before! The museum has lots of fantastic examples of lenses used in lighthouses, they are quite spectacular to look at, I couldn't decide between this and the extra for my blip! We had a tour of Kinnaird Head Lighthouse, which is built through a castle, it was originally just a lamp on top but was extended! We got to see it wound up and rotating, it was really quite mesmerising, I could have watched it for hours! I had no idea each lighthouse had its own specific light characteristics that identified it as a particular lighthouse in a particular location, I had always thought they were just the same all over! Afterwards we headed home as Cara had come over with Pickles and Molly! We went out for some dinner and then spent the rest of the evening playing with the dogs, it's been a nice day!
