The Wolf Dog
We were up at 5.30am, on the road for 6.30am and in France by 9.15am (10.15 France time) - got to love the ease of the Eurotunnel. We stopped off at Cite Europe to pick up some Bandol Rose wine and arrived at the hotel in St Omer at 12pm.
It was so cold that the market had already packed up, and there was no-one around! We went to Le Spey for something to eat and met Muriel (the owner) as we went in, then soon after, her husband Dominque saw us.and we had the most amazing welcome! The last time we were there was a year ago and yet they never forget us which is lovely.
We went shopping for baby clothes for Elif's baby and also got a couple of things for Scarlett & Violet and Alan bought me a little addition to my Longchamp bag.
We then walked down to the Maison du Marais where there was a medieval fair going on and I spotted what I though was a wolf. He’s called Aries, is 7 years old and actually a cross wolf/dog and quite tame, they also had his grandmother who’s 16..
Tonight we've been back to Le Spey and Muriel bought us both a drink before dinner at Le Trois Caves, and now it's late and I'm off to bed - hope you're having a good weekend!
