If you've got an itch...
Itchier in Large.
Two mallard couples were hiding from me in the bush along the river's edge. I saw them, but there wasn't an image there. So I moved on to check on a nesting chickadee, but no one was home at the chickadee tree. When I turned around to head back, the mallards had climbed the bank to visit an area that had bird feeder overflow. They all froze when they realized that I'd spotted them. (Caught in the act... ;-)
Then one of the males used the opportunity to tidy up, so I got my St. Patrick's Day blip.
In extras: The guardian of the fishing pier; a very stately looking gal. She was friendly and her owner was one of the many fishermen on the pier. It was just funny how she moved away from the men when I pulled up, and came to inspect the newcomer. Her eyes never left me...
And the aged under water pylons from my stop by the bay.
