Bristo Square in blue

The weather today couldn't have been more different from yesterday - not a wisp of haar to be seen! Our building (behind the McEwan Hall which is the big round building here) was closed to vehicles and so students and staff had to leave by tiny gates rather than the usual big entrance, which led to bottlenecks which thankfully remained good-natured. There were police all over - as you can see from this picture too - as the Israeli ambassador was giving a talk today and there were threats of a demonstration. I'd seen a sign urging a demonstration here at 4pm; this was taken at 3.55pm and so I'm not sure that anything eventually happened.
