40 St.Pauls

We drove down to Birmingham today to see Toria - she is so busy it's really hard to find time to see each other.
We started at Faculty coffee shop in the afternoon, drifted into Lasan restaurant for one of the most delicious Indian meals I've had so far (and it wasn't a Korma).
Just round the corner from Lasan is 40 StPauls gin bar, it's just won two awards both for it's extensive gin menu. It's like walking into someones lounge off the street through a normal looking front door. You feel like you've been transported back into the '70's in a tasteful way. The staff were helpful and I rediscovered sloe gin.
I've had a wonderful day, seeing Toria and her friends,  Chris and Francisco, and all the delicious food and drink - definitely an unforgettable day.
