Sittin' on the dock of the bay

Brown Pelicans congregating on the Woodley Island boat dock in Humboldt Bay. Those with yellowish white heads are adults; the brown ones are juveniles. Down at the end of the line are some Heermann's Gulls, who hang around the pelicans in an effort to snag any fish the pelicans fumble while feeding.
