Quite exciting.

But only for a few people...

Since we have had soooo much rain and snow I the last few weeks, a lot of the soil has eroded in the bank and path in the washpool area of the village.

Our house was originally built across from the village train station ( closed down due to the Beeching cuts in the 1960s). We had always been told that all of the original track and everything else had been removed when the station had been decommissioned.

It's really quite interesting that some of the railway items are now coming back to the surface. I suspect that some of the track was removed, but some parts were just covered over.

I found a handle from a wagon a few months ago. ( I will blip this soon. )
