The First Cut

Today's the day ................................... to train

On a training course today in Manchester - the Manchester Art Gallery - to be precise. How nice was that?

Part of the training involved looking round a new exhibition there called The First Cut which featured the work of 31 international artists who cut, sculpt and manipulate paper and transform it into fantastical works of art.

There was a walk-through forest of paper trees, flocks of birds and buterflies cut from maps, guns and grenades made from paper currency - and this motorbike looking for all the world as if it was made from metal .........................
