A day out in Alcañiz

Today we've been to Alcañiz, not very far away but somewhere we hadn't been before.
We stopped at the Ermita Santa Barbara on the way, where these photos were taken. The star design on the ground gives the name of the predominant wind from each direction and the plaque gives the lat. and long. and the height asl.
When we reached Alcañiz we took a walk through the old part of town, taking in the beautiful old buildings in the Plaza de España, and on to the top of the hill to view the old castle, now a Parador hotel.
We enjoyed a very nice Menu del Dia for 9 euros each and then back to the car and drove to the Mirador del Ebro at Fayón on the way home.
