Climbing a digital hill #phonar
There's a free and open undergraduate photography class run by Jonathan Worth and Matt Johnston from Coventry Uni.
This is one of several that they've run, and whilst I am like the kid at the back of the class, watching, listening and not participating (mainly due to the insanity - inconvenience of work), I am thoroughly enjoying the lectures.
They're focusing on the digital this time, underpinning students' work by instilling the philosophy of open, there's a great lecture from today's session that is online that really extols the virtues of open working and creative commons - really worth a listen and a read through the slides if you have the time.
The blip is reference to the fact that for some of us the move to open and digital can be quite a difficult climb.
