Life on the Ocean Wave

We slept very well overnight as we approached France. The dog cars were on the exposed upper deck. Here we are as we are about to dock in Le Havre. The remaining journey back down country to our house took about 6 hours, including a short lunch. Got home to unpack the car, but before we had got very far, we found that the chill had popped the seal on a garden tap, which must have been leaking for up to 3 weeks. Then Mrs SoL found that the same had happened to another pipe in the greenhouse. So much for taking stock of our holiday and easing back into rural France life. A panic trip to Brico Depot for taps and pipework fixed the problem. Decided to watch Jane McDonald’s trip to the places we had just visited, drank some wine and ate a chicken dinner. Mrs SoL called youngest son to wish him a happy birthday. Bed is calling. Hopefully we won’t find any more nasty surprises tomorrow.
