This is the outer layers required (plus 2x vase layers, fleece, softshell trousers and gloves underneath) to keep a cold blooded outdoor instructor dry ish, warm ish and enthusiastic on a day where the weather forecast  included phrases like "ferocious gusts" , "rain rarely ceasing" and "mobility temporarily at least limited".
