Yacht Club

Today has been very busy again!

Had a meeting with a gentleman from Tear Fund in the afternoon. He'd found me in his database because of a contribution I'd made a few years back. We chatted for over two hours about the work they do and just stuff in general.

Home briefly and then out again, this time to the Creek Golf and Yacht Club! Our Pastor and his wife wanted to see the new canal that was completed recently and has effectively made the part of Dubai I live in, an island. I managed to get us a boat ride through my ex-boss! We had a fantastic evening seeing Dubai and all its new developments from a completely different angle!

We passed by D3, through Business Bay, went under the water canal bridge (see extra) all the way up to Tolerance Bridge and then turned back. The whole trip was just under three hours. It was a beautifully clear evening but extremely humid. Finished it off with dinner at the Boardwalk. It was great to see a bit of Dubai's nightlife on St. Patrick's Day weekend!
