Pure Indulgence

Today I excelled and made some scones so we could have a good old fashioned cream tea!!! It was delicious, even though I say so myself!

Plenty of pink but would have been better had I made the jam myself with fresh strawberries. Somehow it seems a real shame to make fresh strawberries into jam!

The best cream teas are from the West country in England and in particular Devon, (although Cornwall has the scrummiest clotted cream!!).

Hence the background placemat putting my humble cream tea into context! Newton Abbot is where it all happens!
