Solar powered

We had two of the roof lights solar powered for "climate control" which I took to imply the windows would open when it is hot and close when it is cold.
The Velux sales guff was not very informative on this.
It transpires that it is a timed ventilation programme and has no temperature input.
I can feel myself composing snotty email to Velux asking why not?
All the roof windows are in and the tiling is about 75% complete. It rained again most of the morning that made work on the roof interesting to say the least
