Iain’s girls turned 7 today.

We headed out to see them in the morning, watched them open presents, hung out reading some of their new books and listening to their new cds, and then, later in the afternoon, the craziness started.

At one point, during the piñata bashing, it all turned a bit Lord of the Flies.

Dancing, games, sugar, cake....everyone had a ball.

By the time we got home that night I think both of us were ready to lie down in a darkened room.
