seeking food...

...and finding it

somehow

in the midst of dry winter grasses - it always amazes me how little birds like - this one, have the ability to search out - tiny morsels of nourishment in what looks to me - like nothing more than dry whithered up grass - which hasn't had any moisture for months on end - yet there were lots of these birdies which - descended upon the grounds today perhaps because the weather was - so warm it beckoned them out for the hunt - and so i, too, came out to see if i might capture one

i don't necessarily do too well with bird shots - but was rather pleased with how this one turned out - he seemed to be posing for just the right amount of time - for me to snap him - now that's what leads to...
