Prickly drive

It has been an odd way to spend a day, hunting all the worst potholes in Buckinghamshire roads and deliberately driving into them. Why on earth? To test Citroën’s claims for its new model C4 Cactus. It is the first of a new generation of Citroëns with the French car maker’s clever ‘Advanced Comfort’ package of stiffer body structure, hydraulic cushion shock absorbers and restructured seats. Does it work? Pretty well. Here is the car at the grand entrance to Waddesdon Manor.
