Men at Work

The water board came to fix our burst water main this afternoon. Over the next 8 hours or so various vans and diggers came and went, the first hole seemed to be in the wrong place (or maybe the main was burst in a couple of places), it filled to overflowing and the drilling restarted, but the second and third holes must have found the problem by which time the spotlights were in place, another van-load of guys turned up and then they finally got the leak turned off, whatever needed fixing was fixed and by midnight the whole gang had disappeared, leaving just the holes to be filled in. And our water was turned back on. Well done that lot!
