Match & Stick

I picked up a stick with a weird, floppy and jelly-like growth on it.

I had a parent-teacher meeting today, for MightyMouse. She thinks he is clever and able but lacking ‘a fire in his belly’. His response, when I talked it over with him, explaining what she meant, was to smile broadly and shrug and agree!

Oh dear. I’m going to need a match.
