Two weeks later

I blipped this view exactly two weeks ago.

Today we had our first online Board meeting for the Association I chair. Some of the working groups I've set up have been doing this for a while, but it's the first time we've had 8 people online. It cut out a lot of the chatter, which is both a good and a bad thing, but it worked. I think we'll move to 2 face to face meetings a year as well as the Conference get together, and more online meetings. As we cost out our face to face meetings at roughly £3k each that's a respectable saving.
So today the Mentoring scheme was formerly approved, I've brought us into the Ascend Insurance scheme that covers the other mountaineering associations and we approved an update to our Equity Policy. You'd be surprised how long it took to get the concept of replacing legislation based descriptions (gender, race, orientation etc) with the terms "all" and "no-one" 
But it was a productive day and non of us spent two days travelling to and from.
