Sun and surf, V8's and rev heads, Ford and Holden, grid girls and beer guts... Could it be any more GC?

The ArmorAll Gold Coast 600 went down over the weekend in the infamous streets of Surfer's Paradise. The locals were out in force and a fake tan or a set of sunburnt shoulders were always a quick glance away.

But the place to be was two stories directly above the pits with the electric team from Southern Cross Austereo in with the Triple M and Sea FM crew. Adam, Scott, Kurt (#IkonFanboy) and Kat turned it on for Shalyce and Simon... if there was ever a way to do 'Indy', this was it. You never really have as much of an appreciation for not only the cars and their drivers but the entire pit and support crews until you see it all in person.

One of the things about media is that you will never look at the world the same way as you would have before you worked in the industry. The branding and advertising at the event was intense, the only thing that wasn't branded was the road itself. Advertising space was sold on everything from dashboards to trees... impressive to say the least.

We were throwing up as to which photo would be take out the blog shot. A silhouetted shot of all of us on the balcony above the pits, a shot looking down pit lane or us hanging out on the Triple M couch with Jo who was live on air all Sunday afternoon. Bet you can't guess which one we picked.
