Muddy Waters

Not the singer. Water straight from my kitchen cold-water tap.

I went to fill my tea kettle the day one of our boilers was replaced.

Were we warned? No.
Did I want to cook with this or drink it or brush my teeth with it or shower in it? No.

Did I admire the building manager who waited until the next day (by which time the water was clear again) to respond, "I'm not surprised." No!
