Shades of Green
Wide Wednesday " Colours".SILLY ME. jUST REALISED IT IS TUESDAY!
All the shades of green at Trebah Gardens today with just a few flowering trees and shrubs.
As we thought all the magnolia flowers were just brown and shriveled.
However the gardens still looked beautiful, and we had a lovely walk down to the beach. Where we sat in the sun, and I had a passion fruit and mango cornet. Yummy!
Lunch in the cafe, was delicious as always. I had a quiche and salad, and Mr C a burger and chips.
However The Orangery yesterday is still top of my list.
After lunch it was a white knuckle ride up and down and round the narrow Cornish country lanes, until we arrived at Helford.
A beautiful village on the riverside.
We had a walk, but not the usual one to Frenchman's Creek as the paths still haven't recovered from the storms and were too dangerous in places.
Then again sat in the sun overlooking the river. Listening to the birds.
So peaceful.
Not many boats about at this time of year but we watched a paddle boarder cross to the village on the other side, and a lovely yacht sail up river.
Some friends had invited us for lunch, but we changed the day as this may be the last fine one this week. So glad we did.
A collage of Helford, and one of Trebah as extras.
