Rant  Part Two
After breakfast, I decided to  telephone the council, for the third time. I got through quite quickly, and told the receptionist,   the  long saga of the street light. She put me on hold, as she wanted to get through to the relevant department, and then came back & said, that someone did come out last Monday. I told her the light came back on for a few minutes, and hasn't worked since. She then said, that they will send someone out in the next few days,  so time will tell. Our g/daughter asked J a few days ago if he could replace the mirror on the drivers side  door of her car, as someone had cracked it. She came up this morning, with our daughter and J did it for her. By the time they left, it was lunch time, so we had a quick sandwich, and went down to Porthcawl. It was still very windy & cold by the harbour, but much warmer in town. I had a mooch around the town, and then J phoned me, and we came home, As soon as we got in, a friend of ours phoned and wanted to speak to J.  A long conversation followed, but to cut a long story short, J is going down in a few days to change his mixer taps in the kitchen.  He is in great demand.
