Our lovely Turkish friend Ali eats out all the time. He doesn’t cook.

Years ago, when he was first over here, waiters and waitresses would leave his plate on the table and collect everyone else’s plate and it confused him. So I told him back then that we tend to put our knife and fork together, to show we’ve finished.

Last night, with a hundred Turkish folk in a Turkish restaurant, Elbows and I were the odd ones out. :-)
