Beadwork Jewellery for Beginners

This was the first morning of a new U3A Group I joined. I've never done any beadwork before but it was less fiddly than I expected and I soon had one star completed. But I was a bit overconfident and put too many silver beads on the starter loop of the second one. I was going back to the drawing board to start it again when I realised that they would make very tiny earrings but a really nice pendant so job done. 
I think we start on a necklace next time. But Sheila has also said we could repair any damaged beadwork jewellery so I'm taking along a couple of pairs I bought that need a better wire for the ear (this has a specific name but I've forgotten it already!).
