Art in the Bakery

It was haircut day for Cynthia and me at Off the Top -- long overdue, due to illness and various other reasons. While C was in the chair, I went browsing in Deals Only and found something I needed for the workshop at a very good price.

I celebrated with a pineapple scone and coffee at Avenue Bread, and found my blip there. The paintings are by Ben Mann, a very popular local artist -- his paintings pop up all over town. We've both blipped Ben's work several times before. There were a few more paintings in the bakery.

I think the odd-looking boards used for these paintings are wooden paddles used in baking bread. Note the whisks incorporated in each piece.
